” Together we generate the energy of the future “
The second International Nuclear Science Olympiad (INS) was held from July 30 to August 6, 2025, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and was hosted by the Malaysian Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) and the Nuclear Energy Agency of Malaysia (Nuklear Malaysia).
This edition brought together 56 students from 14 countries around the world to further foster collaboration among young people interested in nuclear science. Participants competed in theoretical and experimental rounds, along with enrichment activities including laboratory visits and cultural exchange programs.
The INS continues to serve as a platform for scientific exchange, youth engagement, and international cooperation, and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) encourages future host countries to expand participation beyond the Asia-Pacific region in the coming years.
